Access to our facilities requires contacting our staff and making an experiment proposal as described below. The proposals are evaluated quickly to keep access to the infrastructures agile.
Experiment proposal process
Do you have an experiment that you would like to conduct with our infrastructure? Just follow these simple steps:
- Check out the list of devices and capabilities to find a suitable node, or contact the infrastructure coordinator by email. We are glad to help you to choose the right node!
- Contact the staff of the node that could be suitable for your experiment, and discuss the feasibility of your plans. You might be guided to contact a more suitable node.
- Make an experiment proposal. It’s very simple, and the node’s contact person will guide you through it.
- Access the facility to perform your experiment or send in the samples!
Access fees
Access to our facilities is open, but there is an access fee to support the maintenance and development of the infrastructure.
For academic use, i.e., experiments that are to be published in peer-reviewed journals, the access fee covers device costs and working time of staff required for the experiment. For other projects, the fee is a bit larger in order to support the continuous development of the infrastructure.
The access fee depends on the equipment and consumables used for the experiment, and working time of node’s staff. Please contact individual nodes to find out their access fees; the general level for academic experiments is tens of euros per hour.
