The infrastructure provides the following services:
- Tomographic imaging – send in the samples: In this operation mode, the user mails the samples to the selected node, and the local staff performs imaging measurements. This access mode is typically used for non-research actors with short projects or longitudinal experiments, where the user cannot be present for the entire duration of the experiment.
- Tomographic imaging – send in the researcher: Here, a node hosts one or more visiting researchers who are instructed by the local staff to perform the measurements themselves. This access mode is most suitable for more complex, e.g., in-situ or in-operando experiments.
- Image analysis (usually combined with imaging): The staff of the node performs image analysis for the user or instructs the user on analyzing the acquired data.
